Hillcrest’s extra virgin olive oil is made from handpicked olives that are processed within 24 hours after picking. Filtered and stored under a nitrogen blanket in stainless steel tanks at 18°C. The cold-pressed oil is kept in bulk tanks and only bottled when required. Hillcrest’s olive oil is made up of a blend of Mission and Frantoio olives, picked at varying stages of ripeness. Our Extra Virgin Olive oil has a medium to delicate fruitiness with a slightly bitter to sweet taste. It is vibrant and peppery and known as an excellent quality olive oil.
