Hillcrest’s extra virgin olive oil is made from handpicked olives that are processed within 24 hours after picking. Filtered and stored under a nitrogen blanket in stainless steel tanks at 18°C. The cold-pressed oil is kept in bulk tanks and only bottled when required. Hillcrest’s olive oil is made up of a blend of Mission and Frantoio olives, picked at varying stages of ripeness. Our oil has a medium to delicate fruitiness with a slightly bitter to sweet taste. It is vibrant and peppery and known as an excellent quality olive oil.
As our 5lt olive oils are only filled per order, we recommend that you decant your oil into a dark glass container as and when you need it, to preserve its oily goodness. Our plastic packaging is only here as a cost-effective tool for you.
