Hillcrest Estate is a boutique winery in the Durbanville region. Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay have been planted on the higher rocky slopes to take full advantage of the cooler ripening conditions.

Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot benefit from well drained oak-leaf soils lower down. The wines are well balanced, with fresh, fruity flavours which highlight each varietal character.

Although the farm is still in its early stages it is going from strength-to-strength on all fronts. Greame Read is passionate about the farm and it's terroir. He is the driving force behind Hillcrest wines. And all the hard work is paying off - the wines are up and coming, the winemaking team now works out of a newly built winery (and not the garage they started in) and every wine that has ever been entered into Veritas has received a medal.
