The olive orchards and production is Gerhard du Toit's main focus. Planting of the orchard (mainly Mission, Kalmata and Frantoio trees) happened in the late 90s and 2005 was the fifth harvest for production. The position of the orchard 300 meters above sea level imparts a specific rich, tangy taste to the olives and a distinctive peppery aftertaste to the extra virgin olive oil. 50 tons have been harvested of which a third is used for green and black table olives and the rest to make extra virgin olive oil. All production is done on the farm, from harvesting to bottling. More recently processed olive products such as tapenade, pestos and a Mediterranean olive mix have been included in the product range.

We became a member of SA Olive Industry Association in order to ensure that we adhered to their quality standards. The following requirements have been met; guaranteed 100% South African product, year of harvest is displayed on the bottle, adherence to the SA Code of Conduct and Practice for production and labeling and assurance that high quality standards are met with the label accurately reflecting content. |
